The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a significant step by expelling four leaders from the Garhshankar constituency in Hoshiarpur. These leaders, namely Nimisha Mehta, Dalvinder Singh Dhillon, Kuldeep Singh, and Gurpreet Singh, have faced expulsion due to their alleged involvement in activities deemed "anti-party."

The decision to expel these leaders was reached following careful deliberations by the BJP Punjab's disciplinary committee. This committee was tasked with evaluating the situation and determining appropriate actions in response to the accusations of anti-party activities against the four individuals.

Statement from Punjab BJP spokesperson

Jeevan Gupta, the spokesperson for the Punjab BJP, released an official statement regarding this significant decision. Gupta clarified that the expulsion of these leaders was a direct result of the disciplinary committee's findings, which indicated a breach of the party's constitution, particularly Article XXV concerning disciplinary matters.

Gupta stated, "In accordance with the assessment by the disciplinary committee and under the directive of the State President, Sunil Jakhar, all the individuals mentioned above have been expelled from the party with immediate effect. Furthermore, they have been relieved of any party-related responsibilities or roles."
